Andy is a former Police Detective who started his career in retail Loss Prevention in 1989 with Dixons Stores Group. He held a number of senior loss prevention and operations roles including Head of roles with HMV and Morrisons, responsible for retail, e-commerce and supply chain. In 2014, Andy decided to use his experience within the security industry and has worked for market leaders Axis Communications and HikVision as their retail lead, tasked with defining the retail strategy including the development of retail solutions for the manufacturer and their eco-system partners. He also spent 3 years working with the innovative Swiss based Cloud SaaS provider Morphean, developing their UK business.
Andy is now Business Development Director at Dual-Stream, the highly regarded specialist retail and supply chain integrator, where he has supported the development of their collaboration with sister company OnDis, the Southport based electronics business who develop bespoke hardware including the SmartSHELF. There are now over 12,000 SmartSHELVES deployed in UK stores.
