Tony McClement
Head of Group Security & Investigations

Tony joined Woolworths Group in early 2023, as the Head of Group Security & Investigations. In this role, Tony leads the Group Security, Group Intelligence, Group Investigations and eCom Fraud capabilities for the Group.
In this role, Tony is the designated Fraud, Bribery & Corruption Officer for Woolworths Group.
Tony joined Woolworths Group after 24 years with the Australian Federal Police (AFP), rising to the rank of Commander. As Commander, in a variety of roles Tony led the AFP Commands responsible for Professional Standards, Crime and Sensitive Investigations.
For a three-year period, Tony was based at the Australian Embassy, Washington DC, as the Australian Government’s law enforcement representative for crime, criminal intelligence and sensitive capabilities across the United States of America and Canada.
Tony’s lengthy career has seen him lead investigations across the fraud, corruption, transnational organised crime, child exploitation, environmental, war crimes and terrorism landscapes.
Ann-Marie Johnson

Ann-Marie Johnson is Manager, Advocacy, Advice & Communications with Retail NZ. Prior to joining Retail NZ in January 2024, Ann-Marie was with Tourism Industry Aotearoa, building a strong track record in the association sector. She has a passion for supporting New Zealand businesses to fulfil their potential through professional advocacy, providing clear vision and strategy, developing quality partnerships and strong connections. Earlier in her career, Ann-Marie was an award-winning journalist with experience in both New Zealand and Europe.
Alistair Bulmer
Manager of Loss Prevention & Safety AUS/NZL
EB Games Australia
Alistair commenced working for EB Games Australia (Gamestop Inc) just over 15 years ago and oversees the Loss Prevention, Inventory Control and Work Health & Safety portfolios across the 400+ stores in Austraia and New Zealand. Prior to that, he spent another 12 years in retail, from sales floor to Compliance for a car audio and telecommunications retailer.
Outside of work, he has spent seven years as a volunteer firefighter with Qld Fire and Emergency Services – Rural Fire Service. He is an avid aircraft spotter and in October he is riding 500kms through the month to raise funds for the Children’s Medical Research Insitute to help beat kids cancer.
Mal Davis

Having worked for three of New Zealand’s leading retailers (each over 100 years old!) Mal has gained valuable experience in retail and loss prevention over the past 16 years. Holding various loss prevention positions over the past 12 years, Mal has a strong understanding of both the retail and retail crime markets in New Zealand.
Mal’s current role as People & Property Protection Manager for Smith & Caughey’s has seen him re-shape their loss prevention program to better reflect the current retail crime environment in NZ. The introduction of new technology mixed with new strategies has seen some tremendous results by improving policies, reducing loss and mitigating risk.
A highlight of Mal’s career was managing online fraud for Briscoe Group and achieving the company’s first ever decrease, year on year, in bank chargebacks.
From working with analogue CCTV at the beginning of his career to the plethora of technology available now, Mal is optimistic about what the future holds. “I’m very excited about the technological advancements and new products coming to market which will positively impact loss prevention programs, both locally and globally.”
Hamish Whistler
Loss Prevention Manager
New Zealand Bunnings
Hamish has worked for Bunnings for 20 years and is currently the Loss Prevention Manager for the New Zealand division. Throughout his career, he has worked in leadership roles in Store Operations, eBusiness and Loss Prevention in both Australia and New Zealand. He is a trained Data Analyst and qualified as an Organisational Psychologist at the University of Waikato (Master of Applied Psychology).
In his Loss Prevention role, Hamish has focused building and developing a highly capable team of Loss Prevention experts that can guide the business towards reducing stock loss. A secondary focus has been developing analytics approaches to better identify high risk locations and processes that require prioritised coaching and support from the Loss Prevention Adviser team. Additionally, he has worked closely with internal business functions and external solutions providers to highlight stock loss challenges, find solutions, build consensus and facilitate the roll out of new processes or product protection solutions.
When he is not at work, Hamish is a volunteer Fire Fighter serving his community and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife and three boys.
Jon Chan

Chemist Warehouse, New Zealand
Prior to joining Chemist Warehouse New Zealand, Jon gained a strong background in financial crime while working in the banking sector. Since then, Jon has taken on various roles within Chemist Warehouse and now serve as the Loss Prevention Manager for New Zealand.
Jon is passionate about safeguarding assets and reducing shrinkage in retail, with a particular focus on leveraging his expertise in the technical aspects of healthcare. Data-driven strategies, collaboration, and innovation are key to his success in driving initiatives that enhance team response times, streamline incident reporting, and increase recovery rates.
